What I Read In March

  March WAS a pretty full on month for me but, in amongst the birthdays, gigs and girl’s trips, i actually managed to squeeze in a fair bit of reading. I am slowly but surely making my towards my  Goodreads  goal for the year and glad to say, in March, I’ve done so reading some very good books indeed.  Let’s get into it… After previously being gifted Croucher’s debut, Reputation , I realised I’d not only found a new (to me) author but one whose books I find myself drawn to, not just because of the cool covers. The regency novel might be something we all know plenty about (especially thanks to a certain Netflix series) but Croucher once again twists the narrative, making things a lot more interesting. I follow Emily on Instagram  and, aside from taking gorgeous photos of life and literature, I’m sure she’ll do brilliant things if Heartbreak Houseshare is anything to go by. Top Tracks of February

I’m playing long overdue catch up but, as february is the month celebrating love, i might as well shout out about one of mine…music! I might be yet to find someone who’ll make me a playlist (sickening I know) but that didn’t stop me from finding new tracks to obsess over in February. January proved to be a good month for music and February seemed to keep this theme going, with plenty of offerings from music heavyweights and newbies alike. Here are my Top Tracks of February 2023… Hard mf 2 luv - bad sounds The third single from brothers-come-bandmates Bad Sounds, there’s an infectious air to the track (despite its  less than positive sentiment) with its jingly instrumentals and whispery vocals. Whether you’re familiar with the duo or not, this song is a perfect introduction (or way to rediscover) their sound. I’m hoping they come back to somewhere local so I can see them live again, as their songs pack a punch when performed for a crowd. Listen here Monday morning - ten tonnes A teaser
